K stands for Kaylee, a lonely 15-year-old girl living in a sordid caravan park with her reckless father. She sees her shot at liberty when she meets a stranger sleeping in an abandoned house, a meeting with devastating consequences.
K is realistic fiction, filled with anguish and a sombre message. Piers Thompson deals with extremes: evil people in nauseating environments, in stark contrast to the intensely colored, and beautiful, nature.
