Kabuki meets manga in this classic samurai saga about a young girl in her quest for vengeance. Written, produced and directed by artist Solomon Friedman, a variety of techniques have been used in the making of this animation. The result leaves nothing to ask for; the overall impression verges between pure poetry and outright parody, but is nonetheless an impressive animation. The blood runs vindictively red, the hard rain falls relentlessly and the audience has never before experienced a more uniquely wrapped fusion between traditional and contemporary Japan.
