Jonah is floating around in outer space in a homemade spaceship. A tin can telephone connected to an answering machine is his only connection to human life. He tapes and repeatedly listens to messages received from his family. Drifting deeper into space, he is ready to let it all go when he gets a pleading phone call from his daughter. But can Jonah go back home or is it too late?
With a combination of live action and stop motion animation, Bryn Chainey has created a nostalgic childhood version of life in space, a dreamlike tale of the longing for freedom while at the same time feeling homesick.
