7–18 november 2012

This year it’s the multifaceted Jon Rekdal who is jumping on the plane from New York to give us an unforgettable three dimensional cinematic and musical performance, a concert for film and orchestra. At his hand he’s had well known and new faces from Sweden and the US, shooting on four continents a collection of partially dramatized reflections on our time using his own words and words by Pound, Racine, Strindberg and others.
Jon Rekdal started his independent filmmaking career with a short film that premiered on the festival in -91. Since then he has become a well known filmcomposer both in the Nordic countires and in the US. In 2000 Jon started to weave drama and poetry into his music. Jon is a longtime resident of New York and after coincidentally learning about his work we immediately invited him to come and share it with us. Reflexions will be performed for the first time.
