Ask any ex-soldier, poet, writer, filmmaker or rock singer throughout history. War is indeed hell. Now French director Jean-Stéphane Sauvaire invites us further into the depths of Hades, as he tackles child warfare. With the aid of small children equipped with large rocket launchers, Sauvaire shows us the true face of uttermost madness in a frightening, desperately realistic way.
In a nondescript African country, commander Johnny Mad Dog and his Small Kid Unit advance on a decrepit capital city. Trapped inside the urban kill zone, is his opposite: a young ambitious student named Laokolé. In anguish and without success, she tries to flee together with her kid brother and a legless father.
Armed with AK-47’s, wired on coke and spurred on by grownup General Never Die, whose war cry is "You don’t wanna die; don’t be born", the child death dealers kill and rape everything in their path. As they finally enter the city, nothing escapes the obliterating tactics of Johnny and his sidekick No Good Advice. What will be the outcome of the unavoidable meeting between Johnny and Laokolé?
