7–18 november 2012

Boredom drives two boys, with a typical young lust for adventure, to steal a jerry can filled with gasoline; a move that leads to horrifying life-and-death consequences.
Jerrycan has a stark, almost documentary, feel to it. Shot with no artificial lightning, the grey, crude colors add a sensation of dark realism. In just 14 minutes, award-winning director Julius Avery manages to evoke a multitude of emotions, all from the use of a young, all-amateur cast.
