A critically injured sergeant lies on the battlefield, surrounded by his dying comrades. After passing out, he finds himself in an endless corridor resembling a hair salon, where a tattooed barber is in charge. Or is he a Charon, overseeing fallen soldiers passage into the afterlife? This adaptation of Marie Brassard’s one-woman show »Jimmy« marks the return of the morbid visionary Pedro Pires. It is a natural follow-up to his morgue ballet »Danse Macabre«, once again aiming his lens at a strange somewhere between life and death. Not since »An Andalusian Dog« has a visit to the barbershop been this mesmerizing.
