Pregnant Tanya and her boyfriend, Petya, are two homeless young adults living in a run-down part of Kiev together with their friend, Kolya, and his drug-abusing associates. Their days are spent aimlessly scouting abandoned buildings scheduled for demolition. Following a police raid, Tanya is badly injured and must give birth prematurely, only to realize that both she and her newborn son are HIV-positive.
DIAGNOSIS is a touching tale, free of moral judgment, about the drastic measures people are willing to take when faced with tragedy.
