While on a grassland trip with his working father, a young boy plays around with his air rifle. The occasional shot at a soda bottle is the boy’s only real taste of violence. While heading home though, the boy is handed the real thing and asked to shoot a fox, a request he reluctantly accepts. Who should decide over life and death in nature? With its sharp and serene cinematography this short episode by Rob Hauer possesses the esthetics of a wildlife documentary, although in this piece the focus has shifted to human nature.
