Best friends Selim and Çaça try to make ends meet living on the outskirts of Istanbul, all the while dreaming of opening up a parking-lot business. Forming a traditional comic twosome - Celim, the rational and silent type, and Caca the short tempered and comedic sidekick - they turn to the shady mob boss Mehmet to finance their venture, something that unfortunately attracts negative attention from both rivaling gangsters and the law. It isn't long before the two boys find themselves in over their heads, with their dreams of a better future slipping away from them.
Drawing on their own experiences, and with a sensitive ear for local vernacular and idioms, and dynamic camerawork directors Mehmet Bahadir and Maryna Gorbach captures the atmosphere of the raw and dirty streets of Istanbul, creating a portrait of two working class anti-heroes that is by turns both tragic, absurd and touching.
