7–18 november 2012

A group of children is left alone for a week, their territorial limits defined by the gated community they inhabit. Inside the walls, supposedly protecting them from the nameless dangers of the outside world, thrives a sterile make-believe society with houses, a party hall and a school.
Their small realm is a perfectly planned institution of discipline, a Foucauldian self-accepted prison. There is nothing worth going over those walls for. Into this everyday state of childhood naivety comes the outsider, the intruder that threatens the community with his mere existence.
Celina Murga’s second feature, following the FIPRESCI-awarded "Ana and the Others, is an intricate observation on how society constructs itself, viewed through the eyes of children. Focusing more on everyday life, rather than the savage rivalry between the insiders and the outsiders, Murga creates a complex piece of drama.
