Living by their fists and wits on the cold and unforgiving backstreets of Barcelona are petty car thief Kay, and Abe, a discarded boxer who has found a new vocation as an “unofficial” debt collector. A twist of faith throws these two characters together, and love is sparked - as well as a partnership in crime. Both of them longing to leave their life on the wrong side of the law behind them, and to start a new, they plan one last elaborate heist together, which will either cost them their lives or open up a new future for them.
Characterized by aggressive and dynamic editing, Patxi Amézcua makes his directorial debut a wiry, indie, thriller – delving into the world of thieves, swindlers, Mafia members, and corrupt police officers in Barcelona. Embracing rather than fearing tiny flaws, Amézcua sometimes did as little as one or two takes of a shot, giving the film an unpolished and breathless feel.
