World famous performance artist Marina Abramović goes on a mystic road trip through Brazil, trying to heal a broken heart while exploring the boundaries between art and spirituality.

Since the late 1980’s Marina Abramović has been a frequent visitor to Brazil, studying geological formations and crystals, which have greatly inspired her work as an artist. In this film Abramović goes further than ever before, visiting “places of power” and partaking in sacred, sometimes distressful rituals, in order to fuel her creative process. Parallel to the expedition, the quest for the intersections between spirituality and art sparks an introspective and personal journey through pain and memory for the artist. The film premiered at South by Southwest Film Festival, the only foreign film nominated for best documentary feature. Other nominations include London, Moscow and Durban international film festivals as well as Sydney Underground Festival and Biografilm Festival.
