Many will be familiar with the iconic photographs of David Bowie, Queen, Iggy Pop, and many others, taken by the legendary music photographer Mick Rock. In »Shot! The Psycho-Spiritual Mantra of Rock« Barney Clay examines the stories behind these unforgettable pictures. This biographical documentary about “The Man Who Shot the Seventies” takes the viewer behind the camera and sheds light upon the photographer’s inspiration, work and creativity. The psychedelic and colorful trip from 70’s glam era to the present day is all about rock ‘n’ roll and the magic of the camera.

Inspired by Rock’s comprehensive life’s work, Barney Clay began work on the film project five years ago. Along the way, Clay found unseen footage of Rock’s output. Smoothly put together, filmed on various formats and color graded to look coherent, the documentary does visual justice to Rock’s extensive career. Somewhere above the clouds, Ziggy Stardust will be nodding his approval.
