Belen is the dowdy live in maid for a rich family in a moneyed, gated suburb of Buenos Aires; a pristine and sanitized wasteland that gives her little pleasure. But just beyond the fastidiously landscaped gardens, something unexpected happens to catch Belen’s eye. She stumbles across a colony of nudists and unable to deny the literal temptations of the flesh, Belen decides to join the group, embarking on a double life that traps her between two farcical worlds, one full of clipped lawns and surgically enhance harridans, the other a corporeal chaos of tantric sex and dubious new-age healing.

With »A Decent Woman« which premiered at the Sarajevo Film Festival, 2016, Director Lukas Valenta Rinna, sets up a deliciously surreal scenario in order to sit back and cast an amused eye over the mayhem as it commences. Droll and acerbically witty, influences from Jean Genet and Yorgos Lanthimos can be felt in this dry and observational satire.
