Fashion photographer and documentarian Fabien Constant knows how to portray the world of fashion and all its associated glamour, showing us photo flashes, extended photo shoot footage, models walking down the catwalk and interviews and anecdotes behind the scenes with an innumerable number of figures from the world of fashion. Instead of being an overview of the whole industry, »Mademoiselle C« focuses on Carine Roitfeld, a former model and writer who worked as the editor-in-chief of Vogue Paris from 2001 to 2011.

Chronicling the launch of her New York-based magazine “CR Fashion Book”, Constant captures, in a natural and honest way, important glimpses of Roitfeld’s professional and personal life and the hard work it takes to launch a new magazine. What makes »Mademoiselle C« interesting is not the obligatory fashion footage, but rather its portrait of a driven woman and her impact on the fashion industry.
