JIM GRANT IS a recent widower and single father working as an attorney in upstate New York. This is however a facade: he has hid from the FBI for more than thirty years, after escaping convictions for bank robbery and murder in his former life as an anti-Vietnam War militant in the organization Weather Underground, a 1960’s network committed to overthrowing the US government.

WHEN HIS TRUE identity is exposed by an aggressive young reporter, he is forced to root up his new life and become a fugitive. Jim must find his ex-lover, Mimi, the one person who can clear his name, before the FBI catches him. Otherwise, he will lose everything, including his 11-year-old daughter Isabel. While the reporter struggles with ethical issues as a journalist, Jim and his old friends from the Weather Underground must live with the consequences of their radical past.

IN THIS ENGAGING and thrilling political drama, director Robert Redford continues scrutinizing the political past of USA. The former revolutionaries’ unraveling of their pasts is as captivating for those born after the 1960’s as for those who were right in the center of events.
