This moving documentary is a portrait of a man usually behind the camera himself: rock star photographer and filmmaker Anton Corbijn. Famous for his work with U2, Depeche Mode and Metallica, to name but a few. The Dutch master has made a remarkable imprint on contemporary rock history through his images.

In »Anton Corbijn Inside Out« we get to know Anton Corbijn on both a personal and professional level. In-depth interviews reveal insights both his work and his personal life, with the photographer discussing his childhood as well as what lies behind the composition of his famous portraits. What did he sacrifice for the honor of capturing rock history and what sort of life comes with being the “always invisible band member”? The themes are also taken to another level through intimate discussions with some of the people he has photographed, such as Bono from U2 and Dave Gahan from Depeche Mode.

Shot between 2008 and 2011, »Anton Corbijn Inside Out« is an insightful portrait of a well-loved photographer and filmmaker, with an atmosphere that is intensified by its score: music from the bands he has portrayed.
