20 nov - Visionary Award

Alejandro González Iñárritu manage to portray globalization from the perspective of the individual by taking us on a journey from Mexico City's slums through Tokyo's neon lights to Barcelonas anxiety. This year's Visionary Award was awarded this magnificent director, who was here to receive the bronze horse and have a exclusive Face2Face.

 

19 nov - Award Ceremony

After twelve days of film it was time for the award ceremony at Dansens Hus followed by an party at Le Bon Palais. The Swedish film elite and international actresses and directors where there to see who got awarded Best Film, Best Actress, First Feature Film

 

18 nov - Lifetime Achievement Award

This year the french actress Isabelle Huppert was awarded the Stockholm Lifetime Achievement Award. She was here herself to receive the 7.3 kg heavy bronze horse and to have a Face2Face with her audience.

 

17 nov - Work In Progress

Work In Progress is our popular screening of some of Swedens major projects that are in production right now. Some of the projects this year where: EASY MONEY 2 by Babak Najafi, BEKAS by Karzan Kader and BITCH KRAM by Andreas Öhman.

 

17 nov - Martha Marcy May Marlene

Last year we showed Sean Durkin short film "Mary Last Seen" at the festival. This year he was here with his first feature film "Martha Marcy May Marlene". It was the Nordic premiere, the director was here and we had a Red Carpet!

 

17 nov - 1 km Film.

At the festival we love to discover new talents in the film industry. Every year the 1 km film prize is awarded to a new promising director. Today we showed all of this years nominees.

 

16 nov - Smuggler

Katsuhito Ishii's new movie "Smuggler" is a wildly popular film at the festival with all three screenings sold out. The acclaimed actor Masanobu Ando was here for an exclusive Face2Face with the audience.

 

16 nov - Seminar: Hearing

Today we had a hearing with the nominees for the Stockholm Feature Film Fund 2011. Sofia Norlin and Jane Magnusson were at the seminar to talk about their upcoming projects.

 

16 nov - Wuthering Heights + Party

We were very proud to have Andrea Arnold here with her latest film "Wuthering Heights". As our program director told us it is "An equally uncompromising as beautiful adaptation of the classic novel. It ends with an emotional knockout." - Sounds great, so we decided to party afterwards!

 

16 nov - Face2Face

Almost half the festival-time has gone and we have had the honour to have extremely interesting Face2Face with directors, actors and producers. Today we had Face2Face with people from the films "Patang", "Loverboy," "Magic Valley", "The Big Blue Lake" and "Here".

 

15 nov - A Dangerous Method

During Tuesday's screenin of A Dangerous Method we had a little surprise for the guests. Viggo Mortensen was connected on Skype and had a Face2Face after the screening, from the theater in Madrid!

 

15 nov - Seminar

Stockholm International Film Festival arranges seminars, where people in the film industry meets and discuss various current themes. The two seminars this week were: Film Agreement - a look into the future with the Swedish film and Swedish Crime: The Dark Novels That inspired.

 

14-15 nov - Face2Face

The popular Face2Face continues, and this day we had "Oslo August 31," "Here" and "The Source" - directors and producers talking about their films.

 

14 nov - Somewhere Else

Another world premiere! This time, Kjell-Åke Andersson's "Somewhere Else" with Sweden's most famous faces. A success!

 

13 nov - Wolrd premiere Once Upon A Time in Phuket

The red carpet was rolled out and the Swedish film elite where at the world premiere of Staffan Lindberg's new movie "Once Upon A Time in Phuket" with Peter Magnusson, David Hellenius, Jenny Skavlan and others

 

12-13 nov - Face2Face

From all over the world directors and actors to visits the festival to talk about their films. At the weekend, we had visits from Chile, South Korea, Germany and the US. Bienvenidos a todos!

 

12 nov - Green Carpet

This years Green Carpet has an Irish theme, as we showed John Michael McDonagh's film "The Guard". The director was at Skandia to do a Face2Face with the audience. Green Carpet is presented in collaboration with Jameson.

 

12 nov - World premiere Certain People

During Saturday, Certain People had world premiere at the Stockholm International Film Festival.
Almost everyone from the movie was there, and we had a great Face2Face with the director Levan Akin afterwards.

 

Luc Besson with the Lady

Two years ago he was in Stockholm to receive Visionary Award at the festival, and now he's back! We all went to the Red Carpet, to wait for him and of course to see his new film "The Lady".

 

11 nov - Horror Night

Every year we have one night, one night only when we hanpick films from Twilight Zone and show them during the night. Thsi year the Horror Night included "Kill List", "The Inkeepers" and "Hell".

 

11 nov - FIlmquiz

The Stockholm International Film Festival organizes Movie Quiz collaborating with Jameson every year. Drop by and test you knowledge and win great prizes!

 

11 nov - Face2Face

This days films with Face2Face: "Falling Overnight", "Silver Tongues", "E-Love" and "Policeman".

 

 

09 nov - Underwater Love

"dancing, singing demonic sex and a magical anal pearl" - Underwater Love had nordic premiere at the Stockholm International Film Festival. The audience participated on a very interesting Face2Face of this Chirstopher-Doyle photographed musical.

 

10 nov - Red Carpet

A Face2Face with Jean-Pierre Darroussin and the Stockholm International Film Festivals first Face2Face trough Skype with Miranda July. That was todays Red Carpets, enjoy!

 

09-10 nov - Face2Face

In two days we've had Face2Face with a couple of movies. Here is some pictures of a couple of them: "Turn Me On, Damnit", "Hell", "Before", "People Mountain People Sea", "The Woods" and "Knuckle".

 

09 nov - Red Carpet with Play

During the first day at the festival we had the swedish premiere of Ruben Östlunds film "Play". With a Red Carpet and a Face2face, we got a lot of pictures!

 

09 nov - Inauguration

The audience cheered when the 22:nd Stockholm International Film Festival was inaugurated at Skandia cinema. Let the festival begin!

 

08 nov - Gala premiere

The leading swedish film makers where at Skandia biografen on tuesday night to se Tomas Alfredsons "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy" at the Stockholm International Film Festival gala.

 

19 okt - Releaseparty

On the 19:th of October we had a releaseparty for this years program. With love in the air, we all went to Scandic Malmen for a first look of the magazine.
