After a film about The Cinema of Transgression and the No Wave scene in 2007, Angélique Bosio is back with a controversial subject: Bruce La Bruce, the famous Canadian gay zombie porn director. As one of the few in his genre, La Bruce has the particularity to be hailed as an auteur. From Paris to Los Angeles, Vienna to London, writers, filmmakers, gallery-owners, actors, photographers, producers, friends and relatives tell their best La Bruce anecdotes.

Interviews with John Waters, Harmony Korine and Gus Van Sant alternated with rare film excerpts and behind- the-scenes footage. They all try to expose their theories on how a farm boy worked his way up through the underground scene to become one of the grand men of the New Queer Cinema.

»The Advocate for Fagdom« is not a documentary about gay hardcore porn, but a film about freedom, love and creativity. Fighting all kinds of antagonists, Bosio and La Bruce, "the bitch and the prick"—show how ridiculous our modern society is, with all its notions of sexual norms and systematical categorization of human behavior.
