István Balogh is not only a farmer, he is also a cruel patriarch. His mission in life is to lord over his wife, children and the family slave. Cut off from the rest of the world on their distant farm, the family struggles with rigid traditions, and the extreme relationships dictate their tragic fate. Inspired by articles, news programs, and real-life descriptions, the film depicts an eery close-up of power relations, modern-day slavery and fear.
