The 18th Stockholm International Film Festival was the best ever - some of the favorites were even screened an extra time. It has been an exciting eleven days, with four new films created online together with the audience, Face2Face with established and debuting filmmakers, heated debates and 170 films filling the theaters!
That the audience decided that the wonderful Juno was the best film this year! When Wes Anderson held his acceptance speech in Swedish, and then hung out at Spy Bar with Jason Schwartzman and all his fans.

Or when Skandia was remade into a concert hall, with Howard Shore and musicians from the Stockholm Concert Hall performing. And of course debuting director Cecilia Miniucchi (Expired), always friendly and smiling.

Artist such as Mattias Bärjed (The Soundtrack of Our Lives) and Maria Andersson (Sahara Hotnights) performing in Saga's lobby. Or the film on YouTube that the directors of Hannah Takes the Stairs made about their festival experience. We won't forget the Egyptian belly dancers or the sparkling bronze horses either, and of course not hanging out with all of you!

The eleven intensive days of the Stockholm International Film Festivals are over, but the films and events are not - the festival continues all year round! Our members can attend preview screenings for free almost every month and we also arrange the Junior Film Festival and Summer Screenings.
A huge thank you to all of you for a fantastic festival. We are already looking forward to the next one, taking place between the 20-30 of November 2008!
