Boys Don't Cry is based on the true story of Brandon Teena. He moved to Falls City, Nebraska, where everyone in the community was charmed by him and took him to their hearts. He found a girlfriend and everything seemed to be alright. But Brandon turned out to be someone else - the girl Teena. The disclosure triggered a chain reaction of events which culminated in a triple murder where Brandon Teena was one of the victims.
