In Face2Face we’ve collected the different opportunities you have to meet our visiting filmmakers, producers and actors.

Face2Face includes conversations with honorary prize recipients Jan Troell (Lifetime Achievement Award), Jacques Audiard (Visionary Award) and Willem Dafoe (Stockholm Achievement Award). We also arrange seminars at which our guests share their views on issues of current interest in filmmaking, but also short Q&A:s in connection to selected screenings. Information on this can be found at the films respective pages in the program. Face2Face is your chance to interact with our exciting guests!

Seminars

Fictive Empowerment: Female Role Models in Film

We mirror ourselves in the people around us, but they do not necessarily have to be “real” people. Characters in films can have a substantial effect on us. They can set social norms and break them. During this seminar we will discuss characters that have inspired women in different ways. We will also hear the personal experiences of influential women in film. They will share with us their role models and inspiration, but we would also like to meet your fictional role models, so grab them and join us!

The Power is Yours!

What is power? Often we relate it to sovereign states or social structures. But we can find power everywhere: it resides in everyday life, daily interactions and in the creating of norms. How do visual arts such as film relate to power? In this seminar, filmmakers will reflect on the internal powers of film.

It is said that power begins with the ability to reach out, to communicate, to tell your story. So, tell us, what is power to you? Get up on stage and tell, sing or dance Power! Enter here
